Take the gondola up to the secret go-cart track
Queenstown sits on the shore of Lake Wakatipu, with the alpine ranges chilling (quite literally) in the background. A walk through the town and you’ll discover endless activities; those to suit adrenaline junkies and for those who just want to chill out and relax. There’s skiing in the winter, bungy jumping, sky diving, canyon swinging, jet boating etc etc going on all year round man.
Head up the gondola and ride the go carts at the top (pack some bananas...shotgun being yoshi). As night falls, go explore the cool bars littered with more backpackers than you can shake a stick at.
There’s an awesome pizza joint too. Check out ‘The Cow’, on Cow Lane. Perfect for loved ones or single sluts (I’m referring to both sexes, don’t freak out). It gets cosy, you may have to share a table. Sexy.
Ferg Burger, oh the magnificent Ferg Burger
On the topic of food, I’m going to dedicate this whole section to the Ferg Burger.
Now this is an infamous joint situated in the centre of Queenstown. Open all hours, it’s extremely popular with backpackers and locals alike.
Awesome staff and quick service, I highly recommend dropping in here for a feed. Plus, you should reward yourself after doing some crazy shit like bungy jumping at the Kawarau Bridge or pissing your pants at the Shotover Canyon swing.

Explore the breathtaking scenery of Lake Te Anau
